Let Viewers Add Clips with Twitch Channel Points

Clipify can connect a Twitch Channel Point reward to the Viewer Queue. When a viewer redeems the reward with a valid clip URL, the clip is checked and queued for playback. The reward does not bypass your configured protections.

Important: A redemption adds an eligible clip to the Viewer Queue. It does not interrupt the active clip or bypass moderation and filtering.

Before you begin

Channel Point integration requires Clipify Pro and a Twitch channel that can create or manage rewards. Make sure Clipify has the current Twitch permissions requested during setup.

Configure the reward

  1. Open the selected overlay settings.
  2. Enable the Channel Point integration.
  3. Create or connect the Clipify reward as instructed in the dashboard.
  4. Set a cost and viewer-facing prompt that clearly asks for a Twitch clip URL.
  5. Save and test with a valid clip URL before announcing the reward.

What viewers submit

The redemption message must contain a supported Twitch clip URL. Clipify validates the URL and clip before adding it to the Viewer Queue. Invalid links, unavailable clips, and clips rejected by applicable filters are not played.

Queue behavior

Accepted redemptions join the Viewer Queue instead of interrupting the current clip immediately. The overlay processes queued clips according to its queue and playback state. Moderator requests remain separate, giving your team a way to intervene when necessary.

Moderation

Use the Remote Control Panel or supported chat commands to inspect and manage queues. You can skip the active clip or clear the viewer reward queue when submissions become unsuitable. Choose filters that match your community rules before enabling the reward publicly.

Troubleshooting

Problem Check first Solution
Reward is missing Twitch connection and permissions Reconnect Twitch and review the requested permissions
URL is rejected URL format and visibility Submit a complete, public Twitch clip URL
Accepted clip never plays Filters and player connection Review overlay filters, queue state, and whether the player is attached
Old reward configuration fails Current overlay integration Disable and reconnect the reward from the overlay settings
